WHAT TO DO WHEN SOMEONE PASSES AWAY

When a loved one passes away it can be hard to know what you are supposed to do first. We can guide you through this difficult time with our expert help and advice.

Call us on 01354 652 101.

You will have to register the death within five days, in the registry office in the area where the person has died. Any relative of the deceased can register the death. If the deceased has no living relatives, then any person who was present when they died can also register the death. Failing this, a person who lived in the same house as the deceased, or the person arranging the funeral can register the death, but not the funeral director.

However we can help and advise at all stages – Contact us for more information.
